Recently refurbished throughout but still maintaining much of it's character and charm, the Old Red Lion Hotel dates back to it's 18th Century days as a farm house.
Boasting a flag stoned bar and period designed restaurant where our brand new menu is available throughout the day.
Restaurant
Under new management the Old Red Lion Hotel is making serious waves in the Cambridge community. Our new head chef was recruited from the Loire Valley and has made an impact creating fresh a La Carte dishes using local produce. We have regular award winning guest ales on offer, which can be sampled in the comfort of our bar lounge area.
Accommodation
There are 12 comfortably furnished, en-suite bedrooms, including ground floor rooms. They are all situated in attractive buildings around the main bar and restaurant allowing for a more tranquil stay.

Around & About
Horseheath is close to the historic market town of Saffron Walden. Audley End House and linton Zoo are also nearby. The university town of Cambridge is a 20 minute drive to the north. To the east lie the pretty Suffolk villages of Clare and Long Melford. Bury St Edmonds, with it's beautiful abby ruins and gardens, is a short drive away.
